(1) One or more address identifiers that can be recognised by a node port (N_port) in addition to its N_port identifier. Alias address identifiers are used to form groups of N_ports so that frames can be addressed to a group rather than to individual N_ports.
(2) A set of alternative volume addresses for a single volume that are used in the parallel access volume (PAV) function.
