A sequentially organised data set on disc or tape, used to record all trace entries generated while the auxiliary trace function is active. Either one or two auxiliary trace data sets can be defined; the latter allows the data sets to be switched when the one currently being used is full. The trace utility programme (DFHTUP) can be used to print records from auxiliary trace data sets.
