Fireworks of glass is a common form of blown glass sculpture installation by Chihuly. The sculpture usually comes in the form of a tower composed of thousands of pieces of blown glass in a variety of colors. The installation is either placed on the floor supported by metal armature suspended with steel cables or hang from the ceiling like a chandelier. The sculpture is usually made from two to four feet pieces of twisted glass, individually blown by a team of glassblowers from Chihuly's glass art studio.
