An orthorhombic mineral, (Y,Ca,Fe,Th)(Ti,Nb)2(O,OH)6; now formally named aeschynite-(Y); forms series with aeschynite-(Ce) and with tantalaeschynite-(Y); black; forms with other rare-earth minerals in granite pegmatites and placers.
