A hexagonal mineral, Mg₃(BO₃)(F,OH)₃; colorless; occurs as fibrous masses of small prisms in skarns and veinlets in massive franklinite ore at Sterling Hill, NJ; also at Norberg, Sweden; Nocera, Italy; and Broadford, Scotland. Formerly called nocerite.
